PROJECT OVERVIEW
Pituffik Space Base, located on the northwest coast of Greenland, operates under a long-standing defense agreement between the United States and Denmark. Established through the 1951 Greenland Defense Agreement, the base functions within the NATO framework and plays a critical role in global security. It hosts a substantial portion of the world’s missile warning and space surveillance systems, delivering vital space awareness and advanced missile detection capabilities to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the United States Space Force, and allied partners.
This exhibition project highlights the region’s history, the development of the base, and its evolving mission. Working closely with United States Space Force historians, we designed large-scale graphics that present the visual story with clarity, accuracy, and impact.
